Our perception of the passage of time is contingent upon our perspective. It is because we, as physical entities, are composed of memory and anticipation that time unfolds for us. Human emotions toward time imbue time with its true significance. We come to realize that it is the vivid and ephemeral blossoming and fading in the natural world that makes relative time particularly unique and precious.
