What is a Mandarine tea set?

Mandarine tea set is widely enjoyed in China and South-eastern Asia. Most eastern teas come in with tea leaves preserved instead of crushed, and tea enthusiasts preserve the freshest brew without over dilute the flavor.

Tea bowl, or Gaiwan, is a great tool for measuring and brewing each pour to maximize the aroma and flavor.

The tea set also serves as a representation of owner’s intricate aesthetic during the tasting.

How to use a Gaiwan?

Using a Gaiwan is one of the best ways to enjoy a decent brew with your choice of beloved teas. Let your tea brew in Gaiwan for 30 to 60 seconds, and lightly tilt the lid allowing a slight opening to pour into the sharing cup (Gongdao Bei) or tea cup.

Sharing cup is widely used in regular tea rituals in Southern China, as a delicate form in serving your guests. Also allows you to quickly empty your Gaiwan once the brew is ready, and get ready for the next brew.
